O see the blooming rose that opens in the Spring,
through moonlight glimmering from above.
The doves coo gently in the splendor of her light.
My soul grows dark without your love.

Hear, the nightingale is singing in the tree.
Hear the sadness of her song.
Hear the mockingbird who warbles through the night,
He has no love to call his own,
to call his own,

Singing, "quickly, love, come quickly now
the Wind is cold with fear,
and sorrow is His saddest song."

Who made the blooming rose bless all the month of May?
Who made the beauty that she wore?
Whose petals are carried by the wind, beyond the trees.
Whose sadness must be with the breezes gently born
singing, "Radiant and beautiful your soul is to the earth
O rose that blooms among the thorns."

This song is an adaptation of the traditional Ladino song "La Rosa Enfloresa"
