Rollin' That Rock
Rolling That Rock
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rock come a rolling down again.
I parked my car at the
Paradise Grill, and I was
Met by a lady who laid out
Her collection of pills.
One took me into hell.
One brought me out again.
She said "You're ready now,"
And she led me into heaven, I was
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rock come a rolling down again.
I lied to her once too often,
But she knew what was going down,
The scene couldn't do her in,
But it drove me underground.
She gave me a look when she left me,
But my heart had turned to stone.
When the work is all you wanna do,
You think love is just a bone.
When you move in a new direction
y' don't think about wasting time,
but suffering pays for something
out of your tragic magic mind.
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rock come a rolling down again.
Now when I get to heaven
A harp I will not play.
I wanna meet my angel,
Find out how it ended up this way.
When did she get me started?
Was it after the age of three?
They said I was hard to figure.
Was it luck or destiny?
The adventure we were given,
Made up of miracle dust,
Learning how to surf the windows
Before the frames all rust.
Life gave me a rutted road.
You opened up the door.
Butterfly from a chrysalis,
I'm still on the killing floor.
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rolling that rock up Heaven Hill
Rock come a rolling down again.
