If It's Love
If It's Love
The dead will dance,
And the blind they will see,
When the spirit that splits every heart
Pulls fire from the sea.
Foul wind of slaves,
The captives of the Gold,
Who with fevered ambition
Do exactly what they're told.
I learned to fight,
I learned to dance,
I learned the seasons
Of wrong and right,
And I learned that life is the chance you take
When you let your heart decide
If it's love.
Proud as stone
Is a heart that cannot bleed
For the pain of another,
A heart so vain
Is never free.
I learned the way that worlds collide,
The silver spoon and the shattered heart.
Of all the things I've learned I know
It can't be torn apart,
If it's love.
Pull me away
From the issue of my fate.
These chains must be broken.
It is never too late,
If it's love.
