I Once Knew a Dancing Hippie
I once knew a dancing hippie.
On rare occasions she wore clothes.
Once I knew a dancing hippie.
Every once in awhile she'd wear some clothes.
she'd dress up like a gypsy,
I said she'd dress up like a gypsy,
Teach me things I didn't know.
She had these big eyes would haunt you,
Staring right into your brain.
Big old bedroom eyes won't leave you
Till it's drivin' you insane.
Her telepathic smile say,
"Man I won't cause you any pain."
Well her lips they never moved.
She told me the dream I had last night.
She's talking from the inside of my head,
Tellin me the dream I had last night.
Swear I never told her nothing.
Every detail she got right.
I asked her, "What does it mean?"
She stamped her right foot on the ground.
I said, "What does this dream mean?"
She stamps her left foot, starts dancing' around.
She calls the dance "Foundation,"
and my heart begins to pound.
I embraced my dancing hippie,
But she danced right through my arms.
I tried to hold my darling gypsy,
But she vanished from my arms.
Just like smoke she went right through me.
Left but a memory of her charms.
