Cain murdered Abel. 
That's the way it all started. 
It was brother on brother back
When the waters were parted.
Soon the tribes are screaming, 
"Get off my land or you gonna die!"
From the past old Hammurabi's 
Yelling "Eye for an eye."

Tooth for a tooth.
Measure for measure,
You can forget about truth.
If it's just about power, the law is built on a lie.

Eye for an eye make us all go blind.
They're taking you down now when they're choosing up sides.
"I gotta have my revenge you tried to steal what was mine."

When World War II it finally came to an end
We'd beaten the Nazi's even made some of them friends.
We wanted to kill all the Commies. We needed someone to fight
so we could keep on making war,
proving how we were right.
How the American Way was the best way to live.
You better learn to play ball, you better learn to give in.
The only winner is the one who takes control of all sides,
Who knows the power in violence and that violence makes might,
Who pitches only good and bad leaving nothing in between
Until it splits the world in half, makes a combustable scene.
"If you're with us then you're good, if you're not well then you're bad."
A recipe to guarantee both sides are gonna go mad.
And when it comes to justifying such a murderous lie,
They just say eye for an eye, for an eye, for an eye.

War is a racket that becomes bullet proof.
You killin' women and children
To make your enemy die,

Some people think that 9/11 was fraud,
CIA, FBI, demolition, inside job
Other people think terrorists have all got to die. 
They're saying,

Revenge is just another way to murder the truth.
What's up with justice if all you do is defy.

George W Bush had it in for Sadaam Hussein.
Sadaam wants to kill his dad, W said "that's ok
I'm gonna getcha.  When you threaten my family
You die." In other words,
Eye for an eye,

Barack Obama no he hadn't forgotten
And in the name of the nation he put the hit 
On bin Laden, and he claimed it was justice,
Maybe even nobel and fine, but it was just
Eye for an eye, for an eye, for an eye.

Eye for an eye make us all go blind.
He said he'd play the game he said he'd gladly comply,
For what you said he did 
You set it up so he had to die.
