Corner of the World

I was walking down a road. I met a man going back the other way.
I asked him about the City, he told me what he could.
Can I find out if this place was any good,
or if it would turn me back, make it hard for me to stay.

Surprized to be
in your corner of the world.
So glad to be
in your corner of the world.

Friends that float away, come and go,  there’s always someone for you to miss.
A kind and steady hand is good, a family where you hug and kiss,
where the wine and water flow with questions and their stories
of places that we’ve been to, some that we don’t know.

Amazed to be
in your corner of the world.
It’s you and me
in our corner of the world.

Cherish the foggy streets tonight, for the night will soon be gone,
taking our fears and dreams away, as we face the morning’s dawn.
Cherish an Autumn breeze and a lazy afternoon.

The days are shorter now and the nights are darker still,
and you and I, someday we’ll live the way we want to,
in our corner of the world, friends forever,
in our corner of the world.
