Bong Hits for Jesus

I had a cola half a foot long.
Lasted all summer, it was so strong
one hit could take you deep inside and beyond.
You be working all night
won’t know what planet you’re on.

I tried tweakin’ one time long ago.
Raging voice in my head yelled,
“Too good to be true!
Do it again and I’ll devour you.”
I knew right then I was being prepared
for some kind of revelation.

Bong Hits for Jesus!

You get caught in an old tradition.
They’re never gonna understand
how a smile can turn a mountain
of pain into a tiny grain of sand.
10,000 years of a siren song,
peace in the garden of love.

Come the day when the heat come down,
you feel the weight of the world.
You’re a self made clown
in a bed of straw,
a newborn star,
you’re the face
of the one who’s gone too far!

I love you most when you’re not afraid
to tell me when I’m stranger than fiction.

I can hold my breath, and
let it out in little bits
to let you know,
it’s over with the old restrictions.

Now the green has spread through the soul.
Words like wine say a prayer.

What matters most is perpetually true.

Bong Hits for Jesus.

Ya Ya Ya...
Amen.
